The Horsepower…

Portersize Just A Jiff (Jiff)

2000, 15.1hh Brown gelding
By Crosskeys Rebel
Jif is a very special little horse who has taken me from competing at Pony Club, all the way through to the biggest events in the world such as Badminton Horse Trials, Aachen, World Championships and Olympic Games. He is a celebrity in his own right - what he has achieved in his career is rather remarkable, especially as he measures just over the height of a pony! He has competed in 6 European Championships, 2 World Equestrian Games and an Olympic Games and many Nations Cups and World Cups.
He has won two CIC3* competitions and finished 2nd in the CCI3* in Boekolo - one of the most competitive 3* events in the world. Jif was bought for me by Mum when I was just 13 years old and we have been a force to be reckoned with ever since. Jiff is the most kind-hearted and willing of horses I have ever come across.

Lowhill Village at Lyons (Blackie)

2002, 16.2hh, Brown gelding
By Carrick Diamond Lad
Blackie was purchased for me at the end of 2012, by my long-standing supporters at 'The Village at Lyons', with the hope of taking him to the Olympic Games in Rio 2016. He is an extremely talented horse and we have recorded some solid results whilst getting to know each other. In the lead up to Rio, I will focus on achieving some solid CCI3* results and hopefully take him to 4*. I think this horse has what it takes to compete at an Olympic Games. He has improved a lot over the past couple of years and he is a really athletic horse with a tough attitude and a lot of ability.

BT Border Bandit (TP)

2005, 16.3hh, Bay Gelding
By Warcraft
TP is the ultimate athlete. He is the biggest softie in the stable, but put him out onto a big mean cross country course and he is a fighter. He was bought by Bridget Speirs out of Goresbridge as a 4 year old, where she took a chance on him as she loved his type. He took a while to mature but he has developed into a really lovely horse. He will also be aimed for the Olympic Games in 2016. He is still relatively young and inexperienced at CCI3* level so this year I will work on putting in some solid performances. Like Jiff, TP is a horse I has produced myself from a four year old and is very proud of the horse he is becoming.
I believe he is a true four- star contender and I am extremely excited about him for the future.

Goldman (Goldie)

2007, 16hh, Bay gelding
By Goldwell
Owned by Brendan and Sally Corscadden
Our partnership came together at the beginning of last year and since then have we have recorded some fantastic results together. He has Goldie is an extremely exciting horse and is I believe that he will be a forced to be reckoned with at top level. His half brother 'Arctic Soul' has competed at both Badminton and Burghley and His Sire 'Goldwell' has bred some of the best flat racing horses in the world.
He has posted 6 wins this year alone which is seriously impressive! He finished 7th, 5th and 6th in his 3 CIC2* internationals. This horse is on the market so if you are looking for your next superstar get in touch!

BT Cloudnine (Mossy)

2008, 17hh, Grey gelding
By Golden Master
Mossy is the 'George Clooney' of the yard with his handsome good looks and charm. I spotted him in a video posted on Facebook when he was an unbroken three years old, and fell in love with him instantly. Myself and Mum went over to Barnadown the following day to see him, where we bought him from Stephen Smith. As a five year old, he was campaigned very successfully and was crowned Champion of the 'Stepping Stones to Success' league. (His stable companion BT Righty Ho was named as Reserve Champion.) He has produced some super results this year (2014) such as wins at 2* level and also finished 2nd in one of the most competitive CIC2* events on the calendar in Barbury Castle. He was selected to represent Ireland at the World Breeders championships in Le Lion D'Angers, France.

BT Just A Rebel (Rollo)

2010, 15.2hh, Bay gelding
By Crosskeys Rebel
By the same sire as Jiff, Rollo is out of a mare by the infamous racehorse Montjeu. We bought him when he was just a foal and with his impeccable breeding, we hope that he will aspire to do great things. He has had a great season this year with numerous placings at pre-novice and his last event of the season we recorded a double clear at his first novice (very impressive for a little 5 year old!)

BT Macdiamond (Stevie)

2010, 16.1hh, Bay Gelding
By Carrick Diamond Lad
We bought Stevie shortly after seeing him crowned Reserve Champion at the Dublin Horse Show in the RDS in 2013 when he was three years old. He is a horse that I hope will achieve great things in the future. He is showing a lot of promise and his natural balance and engagement means that he takes everything in his stride. He has recorded lots of placings at pre-novice level and was joint first in the 5 year old masterclass in Camphire International Horse Trials.

BT Seventh Heaven (Mattie)

2010, 17hh, Grey gelding
by Golden Master
Mattie is a full-brother to Mossy, and as you can see we are a big fan of his breeding. We bought him from Barbara Hatton, who bred both him and Mossy. I knew he would be too big for me but as he has such a gentle nature and is extremely easy going, I will produce him in the early stages and when the right person comes along he will be for sale. He shows all the qualities of a true four star horse and his scope is limitless.

BT RockandRoller (Timmy)

2010, 16.2hh, Grey gelding
By High Roller (TB)
Timmy is another home-bred, and a half brother to Rodney. He has the most fantastic attitude -His athleticism and scope is outstanding. I look forward to taking this guy out on some big tracks one day. He produced a lot of great results this year and posted a very impressive win in the 5 year old Irish Sport Horse series in Crecora. He also produced a fantastic double clear in his first novice at the end of the year

Loughnavatta Cedar (Cedar)

2009, 16hh, Bay gelding
By Luidam (TB)
Owned by Rory Costigan, Cedar started his eventing career with me this spring. He has had many top results at novice level including a win in the Irish Sport Horse series Novice at Ballinamona. He also recorded a 3rd placing in his first international 1* at Ballindenisk finishing best if the irish and the top placed 6 year old in the class. He has shown a great deal of talent and a proper 4* prospect.

L.E.B Lias Jewel (Jewel)

2010, Brown mare
By Limmerick
Owner: Jo Breheny
She has the most fantastic attitude and is really exciting mare with 3 lovely paces and unlimited amounts of scope. She had a great season this year where she was very successful in the stepping stones series and also won a leg of the 5 year old sport horse series in Ballinamona. She also finished 2nd in the 5 year old Masterclass at Camphire International Horse Trials.

BT Pickapocket (Rodney)

2008, 16.1hh, Grey Gelding
by Golden Master
Rodney is a horse we bred ourselves and is an absolute character!! He is a real 'get-on-and-go' type horse with a lot of potential. He was previously campaigned by young rider Clare Brown, as she was working here at the time and together they went from pre-novice up to 1* at Tattersalls International Horse Trials. For anybody looking to buy a lovely Junior/Young Rider horse he is a genuine star with the ability to go far! He is very safe and consistent and extremely flashy with his steel grey coat and four white socks. Please contact for more information.

BT Bentley (Benji)

2009, 16hh, Bay gelding
By OBOS Quality
Benji is a very straightforward little horse with a lot of potential. For a small, compact horse he has got the greatest movement I have ever sat on - he would not look out of place in a dressage yard. Thankfully he has the jump to match and I have had some great fun with him thus far where he recorded a 2nd and a win in his last two events so I'm looking forward to see what he can produce at 1* level next year. For anyone looking for an exciting young prospect to produce up through the levels he is the perfect sort. Please contact for more information.
